Barasoain Church. Also known as Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish. It is a Roman Catholic Church built in 1630 in Malolos City. Barasoain was derived from a place in Spain which is similar to Malolos. When the Spanish-Filipino Revolution broke out, the Spaniards used the term 'baras ng suwail' (dungeon of the defiant) because the church was used as a meeting place during the revolution.
